I have sent out over a couple thousand Books of Mormon all over the world and have been doing it for years. Nobody is going to come knocking at your door.

BUYING LDS SCRIPTURES FREE
Yes, I will totally send you a free Book of Mormon without missionaries and this offer NEVER EXPIRES. God and three men appeared to her and told her she would conceive and she laughed at them.Let’s get right to it.

The End.I agree with everything save Sarah conceiving by faith. This may be the longest thread ever that has no replies, but I at least wanted to have my say. If you’ve made it this far, then thanks for humoring me. There are a lot of things we cannot explain because for now, we see through a glass darkly, so I base my belief on experience and hope. The experiences I’ve had while I’ve read them and tried to live the principles taught therein ultimately provide the foundation for my belief.

Overriding all of this, of course, is the fact that I believe in the scriptures because I’m a better person when I read them. Historicity issues surrounding the BoM don’t bother me much either, as there are a lot of things about the Bible that cannot be proven, and we still buy into that (not talking about the 6,000 year old earth thing here.) Again, I think some things are a mystery on purpose because we need to demonstrate some faith. This seems to be the function of the Bible in bringing about the book of Moses and the JST as well. I think all that may have mattered was the fact that the items gave him the faith required to receive revelation. To put it simply, I don’t think it mattered if Joseph looked at the plates while he was translating them, nor do I think it mattered what was written on the papyrus scrolls. And by faith I believe the LDS scriptures came into existence. By faith, Enoch was translated, Sarah conceived, and Moses parted the Red Sea. I tend to agree, and I believe that this principle is not limited to healing. Many of you remarked that perhaps the function of these objects was to increase faith rather than transfer some magical healing power. SIEQ began an excellent thread on healing objects and their function in healing the sick. I also believe that He intentionally asks us to believe in things we cannot prove (Jay Santos gave an excellent example of this by pointing out that if He wanted us to have sure knowledge of His existence He would be a guest on CNN.) It is only through this belief or faith that certain blessings can be bestowed by the power of God, and the magnitude of these blessings and power is directly correlated to the amount of faith shown. I believe in the supernatural, hence I believe there is a God. I acknowledge all of the issues surrounding the historicity of the BoM and the authenticity of the BoA, but I still believe in their divinity for a number of reasons. Now that I have taken some time to collect my thoughts I want to opine. I have neither the capacity, nor the credentials of many of you, so I've mostly lurked as questions about the origin and authenticity of the LDS scriptures have arisen. While I don’t consider myself a complete simpleton, I’m not an intellectual. A lot has been said in this forum about the Book of Mormon, the Book of Abraham, and other LDS canon.
